Call to Order – by President at 10:00 am
President Don mentioned that Peter Chance and Jack Askam. had passed away.
Andy Rosequist. and Rod Mceod had short stories about Jack. He was 99 years old.
 

Executive Reports

  • Past President:  Andy Rosequist Spoke about upcoming BBQ on June 19th
  • Treasurer:  Noel Currie – under $4000. In bank account
  • Membership:  Brian Muir – 72 members
  • Speakers:  Rod McLeod – has speakers for the next 2 meetings
  • Events: Barry Hawkeswood reported the interest in the upcoming HCP visit on June 25th

Activity Reports

  • Golf - Barry Hawkeswood Spoke about golf
  • Hoppy Club – weekly on Tuesdays at 3:00 pm, next get together will be at Mary’s Blue Moon outside on the patio
  • Wine and Dine Group – Nick spoke about upcoming dinners
  • Bridge Jim Surgenor reported that G.J. Drozio & Ken Taylor had won the Bridge Trophy.
  • D Day Remembrance - Don Amos reminded us about the Veterans and in particular Peter Chance who had been on his ship in the English Channel on D-Day. Don then read a poem his father had written when he was overseas.
