Jim Surgenor advised the group is up and running with 12 members and five spares.
Golf
Golf continues for the winter months at the Ridge on Fridays, commencing Friday, November 2, at 10:30 am.
Hoppy Club
Rod McLeod announced the next gathering will be Wednesday November 7th at the Charles Dicken’s Pub in Sidney at 3:00 pm.

Membership – Chair Andy Rosequist advised 48 members and three guests were present at the meeting.
Secretary Rod Fimrite – Absent – No report,
Treasurer – Peter Keith Murray acting for Treasurer Vic Swann advised our bank balance is $1,944.04, but 32 members have not paid their dues for the current year.
Speakers – Rod McLeod has arranged for the Senior’s Program Manager at Panorama Recreation Centre to address the Club on January 3, 2019 and a speaker from the CRD will speak in February.
Events Committee – Mike Parfitt has arranged a Viking Air tour for November and 15 members have agreed to attend. Approximately 50 people have signed up for the Christmas Luncheon at the Army Navy Veteran’s Hall in Sidney on December 6th.

Past President Jim Dryden – Jim reminded members that he is now the contact for Probus Cares,
The 50/50 draw was won by David Broad, who will be responsible for the draw at the January 3, 2019 meeting.
