New President address Emphasized the need for members to step up and be involved.  We need an events chairperson, and a golf co-ordinator for away games during the summer
 
Activity reports
  • Bridge. Jim Surgenor Bridge is starting up in late Septemberand goes to May
  • Golf Doug Watt Ardmore on Fridays, until weather/rain make the course unplayable.Windup is October 4th
  • Dining Out will need a volunteer to step up when Nick Seiersen is away from November on.

  • Speaker Randy Mains our next speaker is Kenneth Wilson from the Naval Office Training Centre
  • Rod McLeod  Doug Watt spoke of Rod McLeod who is leaving the area. Rod has been a member since 2008, became club president in 2014-2015, and has been on the Speaker Committee since 2016.
Several members spoke about Rod’s involvement with Probus. Jack Parry spoke as well as Andy Rosequist who mentioned Rod’s favourite saying “STEP UP TO THE PLATE”.
Rod thanked the speakers and spoke about his experiences in the Probus club.
