The largely unknown story of RCAF Wing Commander Lloyd Vernun Chadburn, Distinguished Service Order & Bar, Distinguished Flying Cross, Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur, Croix de Guerre avec Palme.

He was Canada’s most decorated fighter pilots of WWII.  Known as “the Angel” by American Bomber crews for his fearless escort missions into Nazi-occupied Europe.  He led RCAF 416 Squadron during the Dieppe Raid in 1942, then commanded the Canadian Digby Wing in 1943 and RCAF 127 Wing over D-Day.
